Upon initial creation of your wallet, before you can “Continue”, there is a Terms link that you have to agree upon.
In the first paragraphs of those Terms you will be advised of the need to backup your wallet and that:
You understand that if you lose your recovery words, you will not be able to access your wallet and funds.
Moreover, inside Maiar app, in order to see your wallet address or create a @herotag, or in order to perform any action that would lead to the possibility to receive any crypto into your wallet, you need to first backup your wallet before you are allowed to continue.
You are solely responsible of taking care of your recovery phrase:
- Do a Backup of your wallet
- Take all necessary measures to keep it secure.
- Do not share it with anyone.
I lost my Recovery Phrase, what can I do?
Maiar is a fully decentralized non-custodial wallet. This means that you have complete access over your cryptocurrencies but are also solely responsible for their security.
All of your cryptocurrency balance(s) are encrypted within the “24-Word” Recovery Phrase. If you lost the Recovery Phrase, you loose access to your wallet.
